Baker Sports Complex

The centerpiece of the Baker Sports Complex is the John M. Belk Arena, featuring a main varsity court with hardwood floor for basketball and volleyball. For athletic events, the Belk Arena seats nearly 6,000. When the bleacher seating is retracted, two additional hardwood basketball courts and two hardwood volleyball courts are available.

John M. Belk, Class of 1943, was a four-year starter on Davidson’s basketball teams. Chairman of the Board of Belk Stores Services, Inc., he has maintained continual involvement with Davidson since his graduation, serving on the Board of Trustees and as Honorary National Chairman of the $250 million Campaign for Davidson.

From the North:

Via I-77: Take Exit 20, turn left off of the exit on to Griffith Street. Follow Griffith until you come to a T-intersection. Turn right onto Main St. At first stoplight, turn left onto Concord Rd. Take a left at blinking yellow-light onto Faculty Drive. Follow road around to first stop sign and Baker Sports Complex will be on the left.

Via I-85: Take Exit 55 (davidson/Hwy 73). Travel approximately nine miles and turn right at Davidson sign onto Davidson-Concorde Rd. At stop sign, turn left onto Concord Rd. Baker Sports Complex is approximately 1.5 miles on the right.

Via I-40: Take Exit I-77 South in Statesville and follow directions above.

From the South:

Via I-77: Take Exit 30 (Davidson) and turn right off the exit. Follow directions above.

Via I-85: Take I-77 North in Charlotte and take Exit 30 (Davidson). Turn right off the exit and follow drections above.

From the Airport: Follow signs to I-85 North. Travel on I-85N for approximately five miles, exit n I-77N and follow directions above.
